In Plastigaur we are celebrating after being certified with the Calculate Reduce seal awarded by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), through its Climate Change Office (OCC).
These seals are part of the programme that recognises the efforts of organisations to calculate and reduce the greenhouse gas emissions generated by their activity. Additionally, it provides an opportunity to offset all or part of your carbon footprint.
All registered carbon footprints must be accompanied by a reduction plan and they are checked before they are registered. The Ministry has awarded Plastigaur for being an organisation that has reduced its footprint, after meeting the strict requirement of showing a downward trend in its emissions.

Calculate
Plastigaur registered its carbon footprint in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, allowing us to be certified with the Calculate seal for each of those years.
This seal illustrates the company’s desire to measure its environmental impact, with the firm intention of reducing or offsetting it.
Reduce
Additionally, in 2020, we were awarded the Calculate and Reduce seal for having reduced our carbon footprint over the 2018-2020 three-year period, by 32% on average. As well as highlighting the efforts of Plastigaur’s team to offer products with high added value in an efficient and sustainable way, this motivates us to continue working to promote environmental sustainability through a comprehensive Circular Economy model.
It is worth highlighting when the flexible plastic packaging sector receives recognition of this kind, as it shows that it is possible to offer a solution that meets the demanding functional needs and requirements of the market, while also delivering lower carbon footprints than other materials.
Plastigaur, Innovation is flexible.
