The founder of PLASTIGAUR, Antxon Garmendia, upon proposal by the employers’ association of Guipuzcoa ADEGI, has been recognised with the Joxe Mari Korta 2017 Award awarded by the Economic Development and Infrastructures Department of the Basque Government.
At the event, which was held on 21 November and chaired by the Lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu, accompanied by the councillor of Economic Development and Infrastructures, Arantxa Tapia, he wanted to showcase “the enthusiasm and tenacity” shown by the prize-winners when starting and developing their business projects. “Your example shows confidence, stability and shared work and encourages us to carry on working to improve the Basque economic ecosystem”, he added.
Antxón Garmendia stated that the key to success lies in surrounding ourselves by a good team and investing in the most advanced technology. He also underlined that “it is an honour to receive a prize that carries the name of Korta, a person who was committed to values such as the ability to dialogue and the love for his land”.
