Plastigaur has been awarded another sustainability certificate, the prestigious UNE-EN-15343:2008, which verifies that all flexible films and packaging manufactured in the EKOGAUR PCR range contain at least 30%, 40%, 50% and 70% of post-consumer recycled material. Closely related to the circular economy, this certification helps reduce both the corporate environmental footprint, the carbon footprint, and the use of fossil resources.

Post-consumer material is that which is generated once the end user has finished using it for its intended purpose.

The actions implemented to meet the requirements of this certificate are an example of the commitment set out in the company’s Strategic Plan, which focuses mainly on developing increasingly sustainable products.

Following the principles of the circular economy, Plastigaur continues to develop not only recycled material but also highly recyclable products, with the goal of all its products being totally recyclable by 2022 (currently 97%).
